The University of Utah just unveiled a new AI supercomputing system that will dramatically expand access to the computing power researchers need to build and run large AI models. The system is expected to boost capacity by about 3.5x—turning work that used to take months into hours or days—and will be shared statewide to help “democratize” AI research across Utah. Early access is expected by mid-summer as part of the state’s broader Pro-Human AI Initiative.
