Creekstone Energy’s Project Oasis aims to set a new standard for water stewardship in data center development through a patent-pending technology designed for the Delta Gigasite in Utah. The system captures water vapor produced during natural-gas-powered electricity generation, cools it and converts it into usable water rather than relying solely on local supplies. Creekstone estimates the technology could generate approximately 4,000 acre-feet of water annually, more than the facility is expected to consume, with potential uses ranging from agriculture and irrigation to geothermal operations and, following filtration, drinking water. The University of Utah’s Energy & Geoscience Institute will independently evaluate the science and assess whether the technology can operate successfully at scale.
