Is AI going to transform humanity for the better—or create risks we’re not prepared for?

Utah leaders say the answer isn’t found at either extreme of the debate between AI “boomers” and AI “doomers.” The state’s pro-human approach recognizes AI’s enormous potential to create jobs, expand opportunity, improve government services and help solve major challenges—while also confronting real concerns around privacy, disruption and public trust.

The goal is simple: make sure technology serves people, not the other way around.
